On Monday I finally got to Ashley's house (who is graciously storing our Christmas decorations) and fished out a very few decorations to put in the condo. As much as I was trying to muster the Christmas spirit with all the sickness and not having a tree it wasn't feeling very Christmasy around the condo. I grabbed a couple garlands, a smattering of snowman and our fisher price nativity set that Grandma got Vaughn a couple of years ago.
I put the garland up and the snowmen and it already feels a lot more like Christmas but the best part is how much the kids love playing with the nativity this year! It is such a huge hit, and I love it because it gives us lots of chances to tell Vaughn about the real meaning of Christmas. He now asks, "Mommy, can I play Christmas" . . . that is just too cute!
